While this year’s San Diego Comic-Con is keeping the movie world busy with news on highly-anticipated movies like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Suicide Squad, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice , and more, the music industry was listening up when Quentin Tarantino invited press after the screening never-before-seen footage of his next film, The Hateful Eight. With music playing an integral part in his films, Tarantino is known for taking great care in selecting and marrying songs with scenes to enhance his work. The famed director revealed that legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone will score the film—the first Western he has scored in over 40 years.

It is worth pointing out that the original score is a departure for Tarantino, who usually uses music from other films in his own works. Morricone is best known for his work on The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.
