After premiering at this year’s Sundance Film Festival the official trailer for “Fresh Dressed” is available today. The documentary from New York native, director Sacha Jenkins, explores how hip hop and fashion’s synonymous influence on each other fuel constantly evolving cultural movement.
The trailer opens with GQ’s most fashionable man alive, Kanye West and in addition to other hip hop turned designers such as Diddy and Pharrell but the relationship and the doc are not just about the artists. It’s an examination of the influence and the relationship so “Fresh Dressed” also features icons like Little Richard and legends like Harlem’s Dapper Dan.
“Fresh Dressed” premieres tonight in New York at The Angelika Film Center where Jenkins will be speaking at both 7pm shows tonight and tomorrow. Check the trailer above.
