With the launch of Apple Music less a month away, artists are becoming more skeptical about the future of music streaming subscription services. The market entry of such a powerful multinational company will undoubtedly shake up the overall business environment, and only time will tell whether it will be beneficial to artists. In a series of tweets, Justin Vernon has given his input into the issue. Offering an insightful perspective as an independent artist, Vernon voiced his displeasures as he criticized all music streaming services with a #NotOnSpotify campaign.
