When sneaker culture transcends the physical confines of upper materials and laces, it represents the evolution of not just the creative parties involved, but the community of wearers around the world. In thinking about the ZX Flux, which adidas has cleverly positioned as the definitive creative canvas (in terms of sneaker, anyway), adidas Originals sought to expand and celebrate the various outlets that are accessible to the youth. Accordingly, the #ImaginedBy initiative was created, which is meant to extend the mediums by which consumers express themselves – outside of shopping.
The first initiative out of the #ImaginedBy program is delivered courtesy of Big Sean, who just recently returned to his alma mater with a perpetually-returning gift: The Sean Anderson Studio of Infinite Possibilities. The studio is fully equipped with a digital sound and mixing board, recording equipment, instruments and software – all free to Cass Tech students. Enjoy the video above, which finds Big Sean returning to the school to work directly with the next generation and foster the next wave of Detroit creatives.
