Recently, A$AP Rocky made headlines just about everywhere when he “announced” a joint album with “Everyday” collaborator Rod Stewart entitled Born To Be Pretty. But, it looks like Rocky wasn’t anywhere near serious when he made the comments during his Vulture Q&A. Taking to Twitter today, Rocky sent out the following statement regarding his Rod Stewart collaboration:
“THE ROD STEWART MIXTAPE WAS SAID AS A JOKE , AS FUNNY AND INTERESTING AS IT WOULD BE, UNFORTUNATELY, “BORN TO BE PRETTY” IS NOT REAL, LOL”
Considering the album was called Born To Be Pretty, it definitely sounds like something that should have been taken with a grain of salt when it was announced. Fans of A$AP Rocky and the Mob probably won’t have to wait that much longer to hear more new music, though. The A.L.L.A. rapper also tweeted that another new project is on the way, Cozy Tapes Vol. 1. As far as the specifics of that release go, XXL‘s Aicha Forbes-Diaby is reporting that XXL‘s A$AP Mob source is confirming to them that Cozy Tapes Vol. 1 is “the long awaited A$AP Mob album.” So, it looks like we’ll have a lot of A$AP music to digest by year’s end. Stay tuned for more information regarding A$AP Rocky and the Mob’s forthcoming album.
