Mobb Deep Remix "Survival Of The Fittest," Announce New EP

It’s 2015, and a remix of a song that met its 20th birthday a month ago is one of the most interesting things happening in rap this week. Mobb Deep have remixed the classic Infamous salvo “Survival Of The Fittest” for ESPN, flipping and transforming the song into the new theme music for ESPN’s NBA Countdown program. ESPN have utilized the original before, having placed it as the background music for past promos. Mobb Deep have coupled the release of their new, 20-years-later “Survival Of The Fittest” remix with the announcement of a new EP centered around the song, fittingly labeled Survival Of The Fittest. The Survival Of The Fittest EP will arrive on May 18, and feature five new songs from the legendary duo, including the ESPN-sanctioned “Survival Of The Fittest” rework.
