Our regular readers will know all about Australian brand P.A.M. (Perks and Mini). If this is your first time hearing the name, it’s time to get familiar with its quirky take on graphic streetwear that has resulted in a cult following since the brand’s inception in 2000. Here we get a peek at the essentials of Misha Hollenbach, who is one half of the husband and wife duo that started P.A.M. with the intention of bringing fun, color and creativity back to streetwear.
Misha’s Essentials could stand as a good metaphor for P.A.M’s brand’s philosophy — a collection of reliable basics with eccentric details, such as the P.A.M. x SUPER sunglasses that, when fogged up, reveal the PSY-LIFE slogan. A simple yet elegant Goyard wallet holds cards, cash and locks of his daughter’s hair so that he always has a piece of his heart and home close by. He shows his affinity for the classics with a Contax T3 point-and-shoot, asserting that “magic happens on film.” That’s not the only thing he prefers to keep in physical form, as his ever-present travel folio is full of paper paraphernalia, references and examples. Two iPhone 6’s, one for Hong Kong and one for Australia, ensure he is always connected no matter where he is. Finally, a Gosha cap purchased at Melbourne’s Sunday Store and a P.A.M. “PSY LIFE” tote bag round out Misha’s everyday go-to’s that are always with him, wherever in the world he may be.
