Thrasher Presents Iconic Clips of Mark Gonzales Skateboarding in the '90s

For the latest installment of its Classics series, Thrasher presents The Gonz episode, hosted by Jason Jessee. This episode celebrates the legacy of American professional skateboarder Mark Gonzales – one of the most influential skaters who is also considered the pioneer of modern street skateboarding. It’s comprised of three “classic” films: starting off are Kicked Out of Everywhere (1999) and Real To Reel (2001) — video compilations showcasing The Gonz in his element — which are then followed by “How They Get There” (1992), a short film directed by Spike Jonze about “how lonely shoes wind up in the gutter,” starring Gonzales as the lead character.
