Nike Unveils U.S. Women's National Team Home Kit and Footwear Collection

The U.S. Women’s National Team is competing for their third Women’s World Cup title this summer in Canada, and they will be rocking a new kit on the field, courtesy of Nike. Aiming to create a visually striking uniform, Nike employed contrasting elements throughout, with stripes running down from the top to the shorts. Accentuating movement, the white-to-Volt gradient movement in the sock and cleat draws attention to the ball. Using 3D mapping, Nike was able to create an innovative female-specific fit, maximizing natural movement and comfort. The kit collection also includes an extended product collection for off-the-pitch wear, as well as men-tailored sizing so everyone can cheer on the team. Last but not least, Nike is also releasing a tournament pack of female-specific footwear, including all four of Nike’s cleat types — the Mercurial, Magista, Hypervenom and Tiempo decked out in the USWNT kit colors – in striking Volt and “Blue Lagoon,” a nod to host nation Canada’s famous lakes.
