Miguel to Take Lead Role in John Legend-Produced Romantic Drama Film

Gifted musicians John Legend and Miguel are set to collaborate, not in the studio this time but on a film set. Variety reports that the singers will be working on a yet-to-be-titled musical romantic drama, which will be produced by Legend with Miguel taking on the lead role. Helmed by a collaborational effort by Legend’s film company Get Lifted Film and Furst Films, the production is scheduled for September and will take place in Philadelphia. Miguel is set to play “a former one-hit wonder who regains his love for music when he is hired to coach an aspiring singer for her audition on a singing competition show.” Sounds intriguing to say the least; let’s see how this will turn out.
