Washington, D.C. is the recipient of a new music festival, the Landmark Music Festival, taking place September 26-27 of this year. Located on the National Mall, the lineup features the likes of Drake, alt-J, The Strokes, CHVRCHES, Lion Babe, Chromeo and more. The weekend-long series of concerts is not just a music festival, it’s also a campaign to raise awareness and support to preserve the landmark that is the National Mall — the series of monuments and green space in downtown D.C.
