Liam Gallagher wasn’t the only person to not feel Kanye West‘s phenomenal “All Day” performance at the Brit Awards. Legendary songwriter-producer-singer Lionel Richie, who presented that night, expresses his disapproval of Kanye’s usage of the “N-word” throughout the expletive-filled performance. Speaking with Mirror, Richie explains: “Am I a fan of the N-word? Not coming from the 1960s and ’70s; whereas the new world has embraced it. I don’t think it’s okay for a black man to use the ‘N-word.’ I don’t like it — and I am a black man.” After he went on to proclaim that today’s music business is “more attention-driven” than it was back in his day and that the “All Day” performance was driven by “shock value.” He proclaims: “Kanye is giving us the generation shock value. How he carries on for the next 10 years we will see.” Lots of hate directed towards Ye; do you agree with Lionel’s criticisms?
