Not that it wasn’t expected but Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp a Butterfly is set to sit on top of next week’s album charts. According to Billboard, the HYPETRAK cover star‘s new album is expected to sell over 325,000 units in its first week. To Pimp a Butterfly arrived via iTunes at midnight on March 16, a week ahead of its original release date. The physical version hit most major stores this week. In addition to that, To Pimp a Butterfly has set a one-day streaming record on Spotify with 9.8 million streams in its second day.
K. Dot’s previous effort, 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d city, debuted and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, moving 241,000 units in its first week. It has sold 1.4 million copies to date.
