The inner business operations of a company are rarely the subject of popular discussion, but at a time when the athletic footwear/apparel market is just about neck-and-neck, it’s interesting to consider each companies’ successes. An interesting report has recently surfaced on the adidas Group’s blog, which highlights seven key takeaways from the brand’s 2014 fiscal year. Amongst the findings, the Stan Smith is officially adidas’s best-selling sneaker in history, selling over 40 million pairs since its introduction in 1973. Elsewhere, the brand reveals that 78% of adidas’ sales in 2014 came from products launched that year, perhaps representing a new era of reception for the German behemoth.
