Following the buzz of Kanye West’s “Yeezy Season One” debut with adidas Originals, Business Insider

Following the buzz of Kanye West‘s “Yeezy Season One” debut with adidas Originals, Business Insider sat down with model Devan Mayfield, who walked the runway of one of the most anticipated collections of the year. Initially, the casting call was veiled in mystery: having only found out about the call last minute, Mayfield, alongside other models, arrived to the casting call and were received by the casting directors and ‘Ye himself. Mayfield was pulled immediately to the front by the directors to be photographed in various outfits and looks. Mayfield cites that Kanye was very hands on at all castings, fittings and rehearsals throughout the whole process. Artist Vanessa Beecroft also lent a hand to the “Yeezy Season One” show, which overall, made for a unique presentation that resonated with a blend of runway show and performance art installation. Check out excerpts from the interview of Mayfield’s experience below and head over to Business Insider for the full read.
