Florence + the Machine Announce 'How Big How Blue How Beautiful' Album, Shares “What Kind of Man” Video

Big news from English indie rock band Florence and the Machine as the widely popular group has announced their forthcoming album How Big How Blue How Beautiful. The 11-track project is due out June 2 via Republic and June 1 in the UK via Island. Even better news, Florence has also shared the first video for the first single “What Kind of Man” along with the album’s tracklist. The powerfully emotional single is charged by a matching dramatic and passionate plotline following two lovers in a car crash. The video is choreographed by Ryan Heffington and directed by Vincent Haycock. Check out the tracklist below as well as the video to “What Kind of Man” above.

I guess although I’ve always dealt in fantasy and metaphor when I came to writing, that meant the songs this time were dealing much more in reality. Ceremonials was so fixated on death and water, and the idea of escape or transcendence through death, but the new album became about trying to learn how live, and how to love in the world rather than trying to escape from it. Which is frightening because I’m not hiding behind anything but it felt like something I had to do.
