This Artist Places People's LinkedIn and Tinder Profile Pictures Side-by-Side

One is for scoring that job; the other is for scoring.

Belgian artist Dries Depoorter’s art series titled “Tinder In” uses public profile pictures from professional social networking site LinkedIn and social dating app Tinder and places these two photos side-by-side. The point of this exhibition, according to the artist, is to showcase the stark contrast between these two seemingly different personalities belonging to the same person. While the artist admits he has not gotten the subjects’ permission to do so (“No, these women do not know they’re part of the project. I didn’t ask their permission. I know it’s a bit bad, but I could not resist.”), Dries also admits that he is not immune, and shows that his profile pictures for both sites are just as cliché. Along with the display of contrast, Dries also wanted to prove how easy it is to obtain personal information about someone online. For more on the artist’s work, visit his official website.

EDIT: Due to artist’s requests, the photos have been edited.
