JAY Z Signs This XO Artist to Roc Nation
The Weeknd “can’t put into words” how proud he is of the ‘Beauty Behind the Madness’ co-writer.
JAY Z headed up north to Canada to recruit a new talent. XO artist Belly has signed to Roc Nation and is set to release his first album under the label in 2016. The Palestine-born Ontarian got his first big break in the middle of the last decade by collaborating with well-known artists like Snoop Dogg, Scarface, Fabolous and more. After taking a break from music in 2007, the rapper became good friends with The Weeknd. The artist co-wrote six songs off Abel’s The Beauty Behind the Madness LP including three of the biggest tracks on the release, “The Hills,” “Often” and “Earned It.” The Weeknd revealed via Instagram that he “can’t put into words how proud” he is and how people will be “bumpin’” Belly in 2016.
