With the current Defender in its final year of production, Land Rover is bidding adieu to its legendary SUV by creating three final special editions: the Heritage, the Adventure, and the Autobiography. Land Rover designed each model to tell a different part of the Defender’s story. The Heritage Edition (from 27,800 GBP) harkens back to Land Rover’s first ever pre-production off-roader, the one that paved the way for the Defender: HUE 166, affectionately nicknamed “Huey.” Sporting traditional Grasmere Green paint and a contrasting Alaska White roof, vintage steel wheels, and bodywork and badging inspired by the Huey, the Heritage Edition provides a welcome dose of Land Rover nostalgia. The Adventure Edition (from 43,495 GBP) pays homage to the Defender’s storied off-road capabilities. It comes equipped with upgraded underbody protection, rugged Goodyear MT/R tires, and seven-inch projector LEDs, ensuring it’s ready for any expedition. Set off by diamond-turned alloy wheels and details like an intake snorkel and rear access ladder, the Adventure Edition truly lives up to the Defender’s go-anywhere reputation. Finally, the Autobiography Edition (from 61,845 GBP) takes the Defender’s performance, comfort and luxury to the next level. With a power bump from 122PS to 150PS, full Windsor leather interior, exclusive duo-tone paint, and a limited run of just 80 models, the Autobiography is a proud example of the exclusivity associated with the Defender nameplate. All three models will be on sale throughout the year, accompanying the current Defender’s final model year – a fitting swan song for one of the world’s most accomplished off-roaders.
