In what appears to be another step in re-claiming next year’s top position on Forbes’ list of highest-paid DJs in 2015, Calvin Harris has signed an exclusive three-year partnership with the the Hakkasan Group, which includes a a comprehensive music consultancy role for him as well as extending his affiliated residencies. According to the contract, Harris will hold residencies at Hakkasan Nightclub and Wet Republic at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, as well as Omnia Nightclub, which will open at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas this spring. In addition, he will also act as a music consultant for the Hakkasan brand and help guide its expansion from restaurants and nightclubs into the hotel space. Says Hakkasan Group CEO, Neil Moffitt:
“We are excited to continue our partnership with Calvin Harris as he extends his exclusive residencies with Hakkasan Group. He is a truly sensational artist and we look forward to what he will bring to our most acclaimed venues over the next three years.”
Harris shares Moffitt’s excitement, referring to the new deal as “new chapter:”
“Its venues are some of the best in the world for dance music and the opportunity to be part of the wider group as it develops into other markets and sectors is a really exciting prospect for me as an artist,” says Harris. “We have some great ideas up our sleeves.”
