After touring with Run the Jewels late last year, Houston via Dallas trio The Outfit TX (Mel, Dorian and JayHawk) are prepping their long-awaited followup album to their acclaimed 2013 double album Cognac/Four Corner Room. On their new track, “Big Daddy,” which they’ve already started servicing to strip club DJs in Texas, TOTX’s Mel raps a salacious chorus while adding a bit of Southern twang to the end of his bars. And after a verse from Mel, TOTX’s JayHawk adds some flavor of his own to the song with an edgy tone. The production, led by a throbbing bassline and a distorted synthesizer, is handled by Guerilla323. “Big Daddy” follows the release of “Wild Turkey” and their “Ü” video featuring Maxo Kream.
