This morning in San Francisco during Apple Worldwide Developers Meeting, Apple made a few announcements including details on iOS 9, updated Apple Pay and Maps features, extended battery life, new information on Apple Watch apps, but most importantly we finally received details on the huge partnership between Beats by Dre and Apple that was announced over a year ago.

Expectedly, Apple will definitely cause disruption in the streaming service space with Apple Music. Not only did the 6 God, Drake come through in his vintage Apple varsity jacket to assist in the announcement and speak on Apple Connect (to help artists connect with fans), we found out that the service will offer exclusive video content from ESPN, Comedy Central, BBC and more. In addition Drake and Jimmy Iovine, who joined Apple when the Beats partnership was announced, former BBC Radio One personality, Zane Lowe joined the meeting and will be the voice of Apple’s 24-hour global station, Beats 1.

The service launches June 30 on all iOS devices, including iPhone, iPad, iPad Touch, Mac and PC, and later on Apple TV and Android. Initially they will be offering a free, three-month subscription before charging $9.99 a month. Another plan will also be available for $14.99 a month for families (unlike the other services) and allows up to six users.

And finally, to close out the meeting (no, no SWISH yet), The Weeknd debuted his new song, “Can’t Feel My Face” live. Check it below.
