Smoke DZA links with the Harlem OG-of-OGs Cam’ron for the video ode to his hometown heroes, “The Ghost of Dipset.” The Harlem-based rapper, despite not quite reaching the legendary level of his city’s greatest champions and exports, is bearing the torch and flag for Harlem lyricists of past eras. “The Ghost of Dipset” is from Smoke DZA’s most well-developed, fine-tuned project yet, Dream.ZONE.Achieve, which surfaced over a year ago. “The Ghost of Dipset” plays out more like a short film as opposed to a traditional music video, and is certainly worth a watch for any Harlem rap or Smoke DZA fan. The video is also presented and crafted by Kanye West and Damon Dash studios, so you know some thought was put into it. Watch the vignette for “The Ghost of Dipset” above.
