The rest of the world (those that like Kanye West at least) is finally becoming more aware of the grime scene. What better way to learn about something brand new to you that has been cool for over 10 years than to read a one-page infographic on the topic, from The Guardian? Granted, the infographic is rather satirical, but the fact that it is subtitled “Fact-Checking The Famous: Grime” and that they haphazardly misquoted lyrics from JME and Double D. Nice, further shows the lack of knowledge on the genre. However, the people need to know about it as lately, it is getting a little more attention which may be partially attributed to Kanye’s very popular BRIT Awards performance and frequent cosigning of Skepta. Regardless, it may be a good starting point should you want to finally get familiar.
