The ever-eccentric Lapo Elkann and his accessories label Italia Independent have joined forces with adidas Originals for a wholly unconventional take on the German sportswear imprint’s ZX Flux. Crafted especially for Fall/Winter 2014, the collection includes two distinct packs: a “Print” pack and a pack of NPS takes on the sleek runner. While the “Print” pack includes four shoes in all and runs the gamut from animal motifs and camouflage to rave-like rainbows and heritage-inspired Italian il Tricolore Three Stripes branding, the ballistic woven NPS pack dons a more subdued color palette of navy and grey, but includes details like tonally patterned neoprene sockliners, translucent outsoles, and Alutex heel counters.
The entirety of Italia Independent’s Fall/Winter 2014 takes on the ZX Flux are set to hit adidas Originals retailers beginning October 15.
