In a bizarre yet beautifully delicious move, Reebok has launched a line of bacon for the 2014 Reebok CrossFit games. In line with Reebok’s healthy-minded philosophy, the bacon is sourced by U.S. Wellness Meats and uncured with no nitrates, preservatives, sweeteners or monosodium glutamate. Executive creative director at Venables Bell & Partners, Will McGinness, who helped create this project says, “Reebok wanted to engage with the CrossFit community in an authentic, memorable way. The CrossFit community loves bacon. They eat it. They talk about it. Some even wear clothes featuring it. We wanted to embrace the love of bacon and build something fun for the community, while remaining authentic to its spirit.”
Bacon-wrapped artichokes, bacon-wrapped chorizo-stuffed dates, bacon-wrapped seasoned pork belly and more were also served to the public to sample. Find out more about the new bacon line over at Reebok.
