Kanye West Performed Drake Songs at Wireless and Played 20 New Songs at a London Club

On Saturday, Kanye West filled in for scheduled headliner Drake on his second night at the Wireless Festival in London. Making sure that the audience remembered Drizzy accordingly, “Ye performed his hits “Trophies,” “We Made It,” and “All Me” during his set. In return, Drake thanked Kanye on Instagram, writing:

“Man I appreciate Kanye playing Trophies at Wireless so much. I want to be at all the shows more than anything in the world right now. I just keep watching the video over and over. Slow motion for me right now but I promise all the fans an incredible experience as soon as I am back. I am so sorry once again I love you all dearly. Thank you Ye for giving me that joy tonight.”

Like the night before, Kanye went into a lengthy rant, receiving mixed reaction from the crowd. He addressed the paparazzi L.A.X. confrontation, stating that it happened shortly after he lost his grandfather, and also r reminded the audience that his daughter, North West, had not asked for the celebrity status. Additionally, as KTT points out, Kanye and Virgil Abloh entered the dj booth of a local London club after his festival performance and play 20 all-new songs. Witnesses took to Twitter to describe the sound of the new material as “dark,” “hellish,” and “groudshaking.” No video from the event has surfaced so far but make sure to check out the tweets (including Instagram shots) below.
