Providing more advanced creative tools to smartphone-equipped amateur photographers, Instagram introduces a bevy of new additions to its photo-sharing platform with the release of today’s app update. Now, when you go to select a filter after capturing an image, you’ll notice a new wrench icon. Tap it and a tray of editing tools – filter strength, brightness, contrast, warmth, saturation, highlights, shadows, vignette and sharpen – will be available to tweak your photo.

Instagram 6.0 is now available, free of charge, for both iOS and Android via Apple’s App Store and Google Play, respectively.
