Essentials: Brian Beaver of Sony America
Tasked with creating the next generation of Sony’s online marketing experiences, Brian Beaver rises
Tasked with creating the next generation of Sony’s online marketing experiences, Brian Beaver rises to the occasion with his extensive creative and entrepreneurial background, and of course a few key items to accompany him on his frequent travels. As the Executive Creative Director for the Sony Corporation of America, he makes regular 10-hour jumps between San Francisco where he’s based and Tokyo, home of Sony’s headquarters. These constant long-distance commutes have given Brian plenty of time to assemble and perfect an in-flight comfort kit that includes a couple of pulse-point therapy solutions from Aesop, Sony MDR-1 headphones, and an endless supply of Muji pens, all stored in a handy tote from Billykirk.
Outside of his director role, Brian also wears many creative hats as an avid DJ, a named inventor with several patents pending, and a published photographer. For the latter, his camera set-up consists of a Sony A7 complemented by various Zeiss lenses that are fitted using an M to E-Mount lens adapter. On the clothing and accessories side, he keeps it simple and classy with a favorite pair of Common Projects Achilles Lows and Rolex stainless steel Air King being his style staples.
