Later this summer, adidas Originals plans to relaunch its custom sneaker platform “mi adidas” with an updated approach. In using a simple phone application, users will be able to apply a photo or graphic to one of the brand’s more recent mainstay silhouettes – the ZX Flux runner – and have it delivered right to their door. “For the sneaker lovers, it’s an exciting chance to make a statement that’s all your own. For adidas Originals, it’s just the next logical step in breaking the mold of sneaker customization.” The mi adidas app is expected to roll out for iPhone and Android in August.
