According to a survey conducted by Sporting Intelligence for ESPN The Magazine, Manchester City F.C. has taken the crown as the best-paid team in world sport. The average wage for each player is reportedly a whopping $8.1 million USD, which may surprise some sport fanatics as they are pegged ahead of two MLB teams – New York Yankees ($8 million USD per player) and Los Angeles Dodgers ($7.8 million USD per player). With the likes of Yaya Touré, Sergio Agüero, David Silva, alongside select summer signings like Fernandinho and Jesús Navas in the squad, the Abu Dhabi United Group has displayed its commitment to the future of the club via massive investments. Be sure to head over to ESPN for a full breakdown of the survey.
