At Milan Design Week 2014, Tom Dixon put a futuristic spin on the traditional gentleman’s club with his latest collection of furniture, lighting and accessories. Inspired by a “youth spent in the London warehouse club scene” — as well as a recent wave of experimental private club interiors — the self-taught British designer showcased metallic table and floor lights, metal-framed “Pivot” chairs and sturdy, polyurethane “Y” tables, along with silver-plated pendant lights and hanging lamps influenced by optical engineering.
