UNIONMADE, nestled comfortably in San Francisco on Sanchez Street, is certifiably one of the more inviting retail spaces in menswear today. The brainchild of Todd Barket in the wake of his 20-year tenure with the Gap, UNIONMADE seems the exact antithesis of major mall stores: intimate, full of colorful surprises and meticulously curated. At home, Barket and partner Carl Chiara have curated a similar aesthetic, though colorful books, paintings and sculptures take the place of clothes. Brimming with personal detail, yet ineffably modern with its white walls and light wooden floors, Barket and Chiara’s personal home certainly draws parallels with their work space. Enjoy a look through the space, then be sure to check out TRNK for a full interview with the partners.
