As Lazy Oaf celebrates the reopening of its London storefront, the brand presents the lookbook for its Spring/Summer 2014 “Nothing Special” collection. Shot by Australian photographer Gavriel Maynard and highighted by Sydney-born model Dave Ross amongst the bright lights of Tokyo’s bustling Shibuya district, the seasonal collection takes a nonchalant approach and features a combination of abstract prints, oversized graphics and blasé statements for a tongue-in-cheek reflection of streetwear. Pieces like peeling banana-printed shorts appear alongside polka-printed chinos, shirts with all-over repeating patterns, and a rain jacket accented by monochromatic digital camouflage. Rounding out the drop is an ironic “All You Can Eat” tracksuit covered in an anti-fitness food feast. Lazy Oaf’s Spring/Summer 2014 “Nothing Special” collection will be available at the brand’s newly refurbished London flagship beginning Thursday, February 27 before hitting its web store and the HYPEBEAST Store in the near future.
