Passion Pit's Michael Angelakos Hints at New Album and Shares Solo Demo
Since the release of their sophomore LP Gossamer (2012), it seems like the only time we’ve heard

Since the release of their sophomore LP Gossamer (2012), it seems like the only time we’ve heard from Passion Pit was when electronic producers and DJs were remixing any one of their synth pop hits. However, after being fairly quiet for most of the year it looks as if the indie pop outfit is gearing up for a new album in 2015. Recently the band broke the news with this Facebook photo above of lead vocalist Michael Angelakos in front of a whiteboard draft of their near complete project’s tracklist – of course the majority of it had to be blacked out. And in other related news, the Passion Pit frontman has also uploaded a new instrumental under his solo moniker, Eastern Shift. In this demo below titled “Somewhere,” Michael samples Barry Manilow for a track that has somewhat of a hip hop vibe. Press play below and stay tuned for more music and news from the band’s third studio album.
