After being tapped for Tim Burton’s forthcoming Big Eyes film – due out on Christmas – Lana Del Rey has launched two new tracks from the film soundtrack. The notably solemn singer extends on her existing lo-fi aesthetic with the two releases, with “Big Eyes” intended as an underlying motif throughout; “I Can Fly” will conclude the movie in the credits. The songs parallel the plot of Big Eyes itself, vocalizing the strife of the biopic’s protagonist (artist Margaret Keane), who was entangled with her then-husband over the rights to her paintings. Peep the two songs below and stay tuned to HYPETRAK for the latest from Lana Del Rey.
