Former Raider Klan member and head honcho of the C9 crew – Denzel Curry – revisits his Nostalgic 64 debut and takes us through his Miami-Dade County hood in this new music video for “Zone 3.” This production was directed by Jeremy Wirth and Dan Ruth, and features the cops on a high-speed chase of Deznel in this half live and half computer-animated visual for a track dedicated to his friends that he has lost over the years. Speaking to Fader about this particular song and video he says:
“It’s about unity, I want Carol City to unite, I want humans to unite, it doesn’t matter where we’re from as long as everyone stands together. The enemy is not our own, we’re in all in the same struggle.”
The video also makes references to Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown with added video footage from Ferguson and around the country. Press play above and stay tuned for Denzel’s forthcoming 32 Zel / Planet Shrooms double EP which is scheduled to drop within the coming months.
