Pioneer Brings Apple's CarPlay to the Aftermarket World

When we originally premiered Apple’s intuitive CarPlay system, it was mentioned to only appear in select new cars. However today, Pioneer reveals the first ever aftermarket display that supports this wonderful new auto experience. Connection is simple: once the Pioneer system is installed into your dashboard, simply plug your iPhone 5 or higher into its Lightning Port and you’ll have access to all of your favorite features and apps, including Siri, Maps, Music and more. CarPlay is currently available for the brand’s range of NEX systems, and for those who already own one, a firmware update is available today at Pioneer’s website.
