After hearing Chvrches’ “Dead Air,” and the Chemical Brothers’ Miguel-assisted “This is Not a Game” appeared online, more details on the contributions for the Lorde-curated The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Pt. 1 soundtrack surfaced on the digital sphere via iTunes. As you can see in the tracklisting below, Lorde’s track “Flicker” is reworked by Kanye West while Stromae’s “Meltdown” features four guests: Lorde, Pusha T, Q-Tip and Haim. Further additions to the project include Bat for Lashes, Charli XCX, Raury, Grace Jones, Tinashé, Tove Lo, Raury and others. In a press release, Lorde says:
“Curating the soundtrack for such a hotly-anticipated film was a challenge, but I jumped at the chance. The cast and story are an inspiration for all musicians participating and, as someone with cinematic leanings, being privy to a different creative process has been a unique experience. I think the soundtrack is definitely going to surprise people.”
