Though the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards won’t air until tonight, the network has already released the list of the award show’s winners. There aren’t too many surprises on this year’s list of award winners; the usual suspects of Drake, Kendrick, DJ Mustard, Future and Wiz Khalifa all receive some of the event’s major awards. The airwave-dominating duo of DJ Mustard and YG also appear to shine the brightest out of all the artists included, racking up several awards in a wide range of categories.. However, one thing of note is Common and Vince Staples receiving an award for “Kingdom.” Staples is only a couple years divorced from his Winter In Prague days, but he’s already earning ”Best New Music” accolades from Pitchfork and awards from BET. You can check out the full list of winners below, and read a full rundown of tonight’s award at BET’s website.
