Red Bull Illume 2013 Image Quest Hong Kong: Award Ceremony Recap

Action sports are great and all, but the art of capturing special moments in skateboarding or BMX isn’t exactly making the daily newspaper. Leave it to Red Bull to fill this void, who over the past couple of weeks has been promoting their latest competition, the Red Bull Illume Image Quest. The name itself may be a mouthful, but the concept is novel: instead of focusing on action sports itself, Red Bull has chosen to celebrate those behind the lens. Last week, a panel of 50 judges chose one overall winner – Lorenz Holder of Berlin, Germany – from the initial 28,257 image submissions. Category winners were also crowned at a lavish ceremony in Hong Kong’s Avenue of Stars. Enjoy an exciting recap video of the event above.
