Karl Lagerfeld Scented Candles

A collection of three scented candles were unveiled this past Thursday in which Karl Lagerfeld contributed his keen olfactory receptors. Rather than secreting an aroma that smells eerily like the former Chanel director – which we can only imagine as having a puzzling mix of Egyptian linens, Diet Coke and Klorane dry shampoo – the range is comprised of the Oud & Bois de Santal candle, with notes of hazelnut, sandalwood and vanilla; Figue & Poivre Noire, containing scents from the fig tree, cardamom and cedar; and Essence Rare, including cinnamon incense and patchouli notes. Produced by Welton London, each piece comes in a container featuring a silhouette of Lagerfeld’s profile with a price tag of €45 EUR (approximately $61 USD). Alongside the Welton London shop in Paris, Karl Lagerfeld’s candles will be sold in select boutiques around the world starting today.
