This fall eyewear aficionado Shwood has tapped local salvage specialists Aurora Mills to launch the “Salvaged Series” – a range of frames constructed from recycled wood. The collection kicks off with a special edition of the Candy Sunglasses – limited to just 50 individually numbered pairs, the Canby features reclaimed Redwood from a Salem, Oregon barn dating back to 1910 and comes paired with an Oak interior for a unique two-tone aesthetic. Complete with an aircraft-grade birch core for added flexibility and premium polarized lenses, the “Barn Wood” take on the Canby is now available online for $250 USD.
