Keeping true to his word, Jay-Z came through with a huge announcement during Game 5 of the NBA Finals tonight. While initial thoughts were leading towards Hov sharing a new track, the hip-hop vet takes thing up another notch as he shared that he’ll be releasing his 12th solo album, titled Magna Carta Holy Grail. Partnering together with Samsung, Jay is seen in the featured three-minute Galaxy S4 commercial, alongside Rick Rubin, Timbaland, Pharrell and Swizz Beatz, previewing an assortment of beats and giving his input how he wants the project spread out to the masses. Looking to “write the new rules,” the upcoming album will be offered for free to the first million people to download the Magna Carta app, which will be available on the Samsung Galaxy S III, S4 and Galaxy Note phones, on June 24.
