Bentley celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Le Mans 24 Hours and its involvement in the race’s long history with this short film consisting of three vignettes. The first, Le Mans, captures the festive atmosphere of the race with its vintage footage collected from several points in the race’s long history and includes commentary from Radio Le Mans commentator John Hindaugh, Auto Journalist Brian Laban, and author of The Bentley Boys Nick Foulkes. The next, 1923, retraces the history of the “Bentley Boys,” a group of British racers who won the race five times under the automaker’s banner in the ’20s. One particular highlight includes Bentley Boy Tim Birkin’s introduction of the first and only super-charged Bentley, the “Bentley Blower.” Finally, the film concludes with 2003, which depicts Bentley’s return to racing, where the Boys beat out sister marque and rival Audi, completing over 5,000 kilometers in the 24-hour period.
