The tweet was almost right. June 19 it is. At least, that’s what Japanese retailer HMV is claiming these days, as it has Kanye West listed to release a new LP on June 19. This is the same retailer that released the Cruel Summer track list, so there might be some truth to it.
In related news, G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Travi$ Scott had the honor of listening to Kanye’s new opus in advance. He told MTV News about the much-anticipated new LP and promised it took his sound to the “next level”.
“That shit is like some next-level 3000,” he said. “We’re already in the year 3000 fucking with that shit, and that’s why I love hanging out with those guys over there. You get caught on to that new shit extra fast.”
With his album release date certainly approaching and a performance on Saturday Night Live this coming Saturday, we can say that Kanye season has officially commenced.
