In a world obsessed with facts and figures and the desire to have everything instantly, it’s refreshing to see a woman like Annetta Calisi and her sprightly little Fiat 500D. Lovingly restored to its original 1964 factory condition, the Fiat 500D is a car going nowhere fast; it has a 17 horsepower, 2-liter engine and does a 0-60 time of roughly 56 seconds. But as the classic saying goes, “It’s about the journey, not the destination,” and Calisi certainly enjoys the journey every time she sits down in her pint-sized Fiat.
