HYPEBEAST x PUMA "The Dim Sum Project" Blaze of Glory Available Now

Dim sum isn’t something you often find outside Chinese restaurants, but with the HYPEBEAST x PUMA “The Dim Sum Project,” we’re serving up a duo of sneakers that allude to both the popular meal and the heart of Hong Kong culture. Using PUMA’s classic Blaze of Glory LTWT and Blaze of Glory OG silhouettes, we looked to the most essential elements of dim sum — har gao and siu mai — for inspiration.

Har gao — a translucent-skinned shrimp dumpling — is known for being one of the most difficult of dumplings to execute properly. We took similar care in revamping the minimalistic PUMA Blaze of Glory LTWT with a translucent material reminiscent of the dumpling’s sheer skin and a unique shrimp camouflage pattern designed by PUMA’s own Jon Tang. A neoprene bootie, flexible midsole and “The Dim Sum Project”-stamped insole complete the HYPEBEAST x PUMA Blaze of Glory LTWT.

No dim sum meal is complete without siu mai — open-topped steamed pork dumplings made with a distinctive yellow-hued wrapper. It’s the same yellow that you’ll find on the HYPEBEAST x PUMA Blaze of Glory OG, a classic silhouette revamped with supple leather and suede. Each pair is finished with a cushioned CELL midsole in white, neoprene bootie and a “The Dim Sum Project”-stamped insole.
