While Grimes may not be the first to call to mind for display of public aggravation, the Canadian electro-pop artist has chosen her Tumblr as a platform for outlet. She has written in lengthy words against sexism and the defective visions of fashion and beauty. Titled “I don’t want to have to compromise my morals in order to make a living,” Grimes begins by expressing certain misdemeanors she disproves, with a swathe of bullet points starting with “I don’t” and “I’m tired.”

She then dabbles on to contemporary definitions of “cool” and the disagreement of certain stereotypes, view the full post here.
Ranting aside, Grimes is currently working on the follow-up to her 2012 album Visions, and is said to be currently “two-fifths done.” Stay tuned for more on the forthcoming release and keep her pointers in mind if your paths cross.
