Although the greater portion of Shaquille O’Neal’s career was spent delivering affordable sneakers to the less fortunate under his own eponymous brand name, it’s the rareness and unique design approach of his early models with Reebok that keeps the Shaq name and his rim-rocking emblem relevant among sneakerheads. With last year marking the 20th year anniversary of his first signature sneaker release – the Shaq Attaq – the Big AARP appropriately rejoins the longstanding shoemaker to offer both his rookie year model and the mesmerizing Shaqnosis for 2013. Following his coverage of NBA’s All-Star weekend, Shaq made his way to Las Vegas to help Swizz Beatz and Tyga unveil both aforementioned sneakers at the PROJECT trade show whilst speaking about his career, music, the impact of his inaugural sneakers, and much more.
